The Trout Brook Ecological Restoration Project will transform approximately 1,500 feet of Trout Brook in downtown Brockton into a healthier, more resilient urban stream and floodplain system that improves water quality, reduces flooding, restores wildlife habitat, and creates new opportunities for public access and recreation.
Restoring Trout Brook
Historically altered by industrial and rail yard activities, Trout Brook has been constrained from functioning as a healthy natural waterway. This project will daylight, widen, and naturalize the stream corridor while reconnecting it to its floodplain.
